YOUNG MINDS
Young Minds originated as an art class nestled within the confines of a modest community centre in Mapperley. Evolving steadily over time, these classes have increased in popularity, prompting their expansion into diverse venues across different locations. Recent endeavors have culminated in the establishment of Young Minds CIC, a community-centric enterprise poised to extend the transformative benefits of these workshops to families in Nottingham who might otherwise lack the means to access such enriching experiences. At its core, Young Minds is driven by the ambition of enhancing the mental well-being of its students by harnessing the power of art as a primary mode of expression and connection. Looking ahead, our overarching vision encompasses the establishment of a dedicated space—a safehaven—where children can converge to learn, innovate, and forge meaningful connections in a nurturing and secure environment, every evening of the week.

Within the realm of Young Minds classes, every session unfolds as a creative discovery for participants, affording them not only the chance to acquire new artistic techniques but also to embark on a voyage of self-discovery, unfettered by the constraints of judgment. In contrast to conventional art classes that often emphasize mimicry of established artists' work, our ethos revolves around nurturing each child's individuality and fostering the cultivation of their unique artistic voice through the liberating realm of experimentation.
